Mark Harrington is a natural communicator and as such leads a dual life… by day he is a full time teacher, specialising in speaking and listening skills through drama and also takes responsibility for assemblies in a Wolverhampton Primary School . But by night (and weekends), Mark takes on a different role; as a magician and all age communicator.

At the age of 8, Mark received a magic box set as a birthday present from his grandparents, by the age of 16, he was swallowing razor blades and performing escapes.

Mark is available to perform for children's parties for those aged 4-11 years. His experience and training as a teacher means he is able to connect to children and understand the way they think and behave, leading to a fun filled and safe party for all.

However, Mark specialises in Gospel Magic, using his performance skills to communicate his Christian faith in churches up and down the country. Using magic, ventriloquism, puppets, storytelling, juggling, balloons, music and escapology, Mark is able to create relevant and exciting events for churches. His performances range from Sunday School parties, All Age services, youth and open air events, to full shows for adults and families. Mark has also worked at a number of major Christian festivals, where he has co-led children's events and workshops for hundreds of children at a time and has also led the teaching at All Age Services for Spring Harvest.

Mark's present's his magic under the title of ‘Illusistration' – a word he made up to describe how he uses illusions to illustrate messages. To find out more about Mark and his Illusistrations you can visit his website at the above link.

Mark is perhaps best known for his strait jacket escape. The Easter Story is creatively retold whilst Mark escapes, leaving the audience amazed at the escape and provoking them into thinking more about the impact of the Easter message. This is a versatile act which has performed on the street, in churches, at fetes and in schools, both in the UK and abroad. In 2004, Mark won the Pocket Tricks competition at the WCM with a mentalism routine, one he has used whilst performing close-up magic (aka table hopping) at adult and youth Alpha suppers.

Tommy is Mark's puppet pal, a loveable four year old boy who wins over the hearts of young and old alike as he tells stories about his life and performs the odd magic trick. Tommy (and Mark) are available to deliver training in puppetry, and a variety of other workshops, which are designed to help you improve the quality of your children's work and the leading All Age/Family services.
